Uzbekistan and Turkey Sign Strategic Partnership Memorandum for Elevator and Escalator Production
In April 2025, Chairman of the Economy Assembly of the Uzbekistan Muxtor Umarov and General Director of Turkey-based KEPI Asansör Market Ltd. Şti. Emre Ipek are signed a strategic memorandum of cooperation as part of the “CA Smart City – City of Knowledge and Technology” project.
According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate on localizing, producing, and certifying modern elevator and escalator systems in Uzbekistan. KEPI’s advanced technologies will be introduced into the country to develop a “National Uzbek Lift Brand.” The finished products will be exported not only to the domestic market but also to Central Asian countries and other international markets.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in developing Uzbekistan’s industrial capacity, creating jobs, and expanding export potential.
